Eli Kuslansky

 

Eli Kuslansky is an Artist, Chef, as well as a Co-founder, Partner and Chief Strategist at Unified Field, an international award-winning creative innovation firm.  He specializes in media art installations, design technology, digital communications, immersive responsive environments, and integrated omni-channel media programs. With more than twenty years’ experience in the industry, he has managed the conceptualization and integration of advanced technology based systems in media art installations for a variety of design firms and software companies. Prior to starting Unified Field with Marla Supnick, Mr. Kuslansky was Director of Technology and Interactives at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, internationally known museum designers.

Mr. Kuslansky has developed new media installations for Sony, The National Parks Service, The Smithsonian Institution, The New York Stock Exchange, Goldman Sachs, Intel, Pfizer, Merck, IBM, MasterCard International, Bell Atlantic Mobile, Times Mirror Corporation, The Bank of New York, Frito Lay, Inc., Ralph Appelbaum Associates, The South Street Seaport, Frank Gehry, Sir Norman Foster, and other internationally known architects,  designers and Institutions around the world.

Eli Kuslansky was a curator at the South Street Seaport Museum, and appraised nautical antiques for Sotheby’s and Christie's New York. Recent projects include an advance 3D visualization, immersive environments and large-scale display for the General Electric, National Geographic Society, the new Frank Gehry’s IAC headquarters in New York, the Yale School of Management, Kennedy Space Center, The Nelson Atkins Museum, next generation media programs for Sony Wonder Technology Labs, and interactive media pieces for the Museum of the American Indian-Smithsonian Institution.

Considered an innovator in the field of interactive media, Mr. Kuslansky is a recognized international speaker, a thought leader on cultural institutions of the future and on Legible Cities, and a beta tester for three-dimensional computer-aided design programs and software incorporating artificial intelligence. He is currently developing advanced visualization systems, Legible Cities projects, developing digital media and digital fabrication convergence labs, and alternative natural user interfaces and designing custom software applications for museums, educational institutions, Fortune 500 corporations, and financial institutions.

A graduate of the Cooper Union with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Mr. Kuslansky is a member of the International Interactive Communications Society, American Institute of Architects, the Association of Science and Technology Centers, the International Council of Museums, The European Network of Science Centres and Museums, the American Alliance of Museums, The Human Factor Society, and the New York Software Industry Association.

His work appeared at the Bronx Museum of Art, at Ronald Feldman Fine Art and other venues throughout the world. Mr. Kuslansky was a former board member of Exit Art and the New Media Executives committee for the UJA Federation. He is was a board member of the Industry Applications Board for Columbia University’s Center for Advance Technology, and he was the chairman of the Art and Cultural Special Interest Group for The New York New Media Association. He was on the advisory board for the M.I.T. Enterprise Forum. He is currently an adviser for the Weeksville Historical Center and the Universal Hip Hop Museum.
